About Rigel Cabinetry

Founded in 2002, our family-owned business originally specialized in crafting high-quality interior and exterior passage doors. Renowned for our attention to detail and superior design, we quickly established ourselves as leaders in the woodworking industry. In 2010, we ventured into the luxury RV market, producing intricately designed cabinet doors. By 2022, we recognized the growing demand for quality and affordability in both residential and commercial sectors, prompting us to expand into the production of top tier custom cabinets.

Committed to excellence, we also launched a line of premium ready-to-assemble (RTA) cabinets. Made from 5/8" cabinet-grade plywood, our cabinets redefine industry standards for durability and aesthetic appeal, showcasing our ongoing commitment to outstanding craftsmanship.

Our undermount drawer slides ensure each drawer closes softly and silently, offering ease of use and efficient storage. For unmatched durability and a touch of classic craftsmanship, we offer our custom dovetail drawer boxes. Known for their robust interlocking joints, these boxes are significantly stronger and designed to last. Customize with a laser-engraved insignia to add a personal touch or a distinctive flair to your cabinetry. Finishing Process

Every Rigel cabinet is finished with Sherwin-Williams Conversion Varnish Top Coat, a professional-grade catalyzed coating prized for its durability and clarity. We spray each piece with an HVLP gun in a controlled environment, building the finish in even, consistent coats. This spray application is our standard because it delivers the most uniform color and sheen across every door, drawer front, and panel — so your kitchen or built-in looks cohesive from one end to the other. Conversion Varnish also stands up to the daily demands of a working home, resisting moisture, household chemicals, and the wear that comes with years of use.

For customers who prefer the character of a hand-applied finish, we also offer wiped-on stains. This traditional technique brings out the natural grain and warmth of the wood with a softer, more artisanal look. Because wiped-on stains are applied by hand, slight variation from piece to piece is part of their appeal—but for projects where consistent color is the priority, we recommend and default to our sprayed Conversion Varnish.

To add depth and dimension, we offer glazed finishes as well. A glaze is applied over the base finish and worked into the profiles, edges, and detailing of the cabinetry, accentuating the craftsmanship and giving each piece a richer, more layered appearance.
